In exercise of the powers conferred on the Governing Council of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) by sections 5 and 30 of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control Act Cap NI Laws of the Federation of Nigeria (LFN) 2004 and all powers enabling it in that behalf, the Governing Council of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control with the approval of the Honourable Minister of Health hereby makes the following regulations:-

To provide information and opportunities for effective and meaningful public involvement to enable fulfilment of legislative mandate, programs delivery, launch of new initiatives and building public trust, Food Safety issues are made available to members of the public to:

·         To be responsible for communicating risks associated with the Food chain in an open and transparent     manner based on scientific advice.

·         Coordinates training activities and publication of technical documents.

·         To promote strong cooperative relationships through communication and consultation with all relevant stakeholders in the Food Chain from farm to table.
