,
The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) of Nigeria, the African Union Development Agency-New Partnership for Africa’s Development (AUDA-NEPAD), the United States Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) and the World Health Organization (WHO) are pleased to invite you to the third Annual Meeting of the African Medicines Quality Forum (AMQF). AMQF is a forum open to heads of National Quality Control Laboratories (NQCLs) from all African countries that reports to the African Medicines Regulatory Harmonization (AMRH) Steering Committee through the AMQF Technical Committee (AMQF-TC). It was established in March 2017 by USP in collaboration with AUDA-NEPAD to build and strengthen the capacity of African National Quality Control laboratories which, in turn, will contribute significantly to reducing sub-standard and falsified medical products in circulation on the African markets. This meeting will convene all members of AMQF including its TC as well as key partners/stakeholders. The objectives of this meeting are itemized in the attached concept note.
This meeting will constitute a pre-meeting for only AMQF-TC members (February 24, 2020) followed by the main annual AMQF meeting (February 25 – 27, 2020). An exhibition by manufacturers of Quality Control analytical equipment and consumables will take place on the February 28. The theme for this meeting for which there will be deliberations is: 2020: Perfect Vision for Quality Medicines in Africa
