Mrs. Adeoye Stephanie Temitayo

Mrs. Temitayo Stephanie Adeoye is a dynamic and highly dedicated regulatory professional with over 24 years of experience in food and drug regulation, regulatory compliance, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and the review of manufacturers’ dossiers for vaccines and medicines. She holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree from Ahmadu Bello University.

Her extensive career at National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has provided her with broad regulatory experience across multiple technical and operational functions.

She began her career in the Agency in the Enforcement Directorate, where she played a key role in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and safeguarding public health.

She subsequently served in the Drug Evaluation and Research Directorate, where she worked for several years as a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) inspector and dossier assessor for medicines and vaccines, contributing to the evaluation and regulatory oversight of pharmaceutical products.

Upon her appointment as a Director, she served as the Director of the Lagos State Office, where she contributed significantly to strengthening regulatory systems and improving operational efficiency, including reducing the turnaround time for product licensure. Prior to her current role, she served as the Director of Veterinary Medicine and Allied Products (VMAP), where she also made notable contributions to the regulation of veterinary medicines and related products, she currently serves as the Director of Drug Registration & Regulatory Affairs (DR&RA)

In addition, she is the International Council for Harmonization (ICH) Coordinator representing NAFDAC–Nigeria and the focal person for the Agency in the International Coalition of Medicines Regulatory Authorities (ICMRA).

Mrs. Adeoye has also played a central role in capacity development within the Agency. She served as Project Coordinator for several international training programmes organized by NAFDAC, including the training on Local Manufacturing of APIs and Excipients in 2023 & 2024, as well as multiple ICH guideline training programmes, including ICH Q1, Q7, M13, and E6, organized in collaboration with international partners.

A CQI/IRCA-certified ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor and certified ISO Lead Implementer, she has demonstrated exceptional expertise in quality management systems. She is also a certified ISO 31000 Risk Manager and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI), reflecting her strong capacity to manage complex regulatory initiatives and institutional projects.

Mrs. Adeoye was a key member of the NAFDAC Quality Management System (QMS) Steering Committee, playing an instrumental role in establishing the Agency’s Quality Management System, which led to its initial ISO certification in 2019, and she has continued to contribute to the successful maintenance of subsequent surveillance audits. Her work is driven by a strong commitment to excellence, regulatory integrity, and continuous improvement in public health protection.

Beyond her technical expertise, Mrs. Adeoye has well developed interpersonal and   leadership skills. She is also dedication to staff development. She is passionate about mentoring and nurturing talent, empowering her team to perform at the highest professional standards. Her collaborative leadership style fosters innovation, growth, and institutional strengthening, reinforcing her drive as one who inspires excellence and drives impactful regulatory outcomes.
