The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has been informed by Australia Regulatory Authority that Australia/Canberra: Nerada Tea Pty Ltd, a Malanda, Queensland establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Detox Tea with added Probiotics from the Australian marketplace.
The recall was due to suspected Salmonella contamination and consequential risks of Gram-negative bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications or death.
The product has been available for sale online and at independent grocery stores in Australia.
