The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control has received information from United Kingdom Medicine and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), of a voluntary recall of one batch of high blood pressure medication, Amlodipine 10mg tablets manufactured by Accord Healthcare Limited.
The company took the decision to recall the blood pressure medication as a precautionary measure due to out of specification results for tablet description, hardness, and average weight obtained during stability testing.
Amlodipine is indicated for treatment of high blood pressure.
