The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) is notifying the healthcare providers and the Public that Food safety Authority of Ireland has recall Hugold Cannabidiol (CBD) oil.
Hugold CBD Oils were recalled because they were processed at a site where operations have not been approved by the Food safety authorities. Also, the products contain concentrated CBD which is an unauthorized novel food.
The safety of the unauthorised novel food (concentrated CBD) and products containing it have not been assessed and they should not be on the market. The processing facility is not registered, and basic food safety, hygiene and traceability procedures are not in place.
