Public Alert No. 0012/2019 – Resumption of Production of Eva Premium Table Water 75cl at Nigerian Bottling Company Limited, Asejire, Ibadan

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) hereby informs the members of the public that the Agency has granted approval to Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC) Limited to resume production of Eva Premium Table Water at NBC Limited, Asejire, Ibadan, Oyo State.

The approval was granted following implementation of corrective and preventive action by the company. The implementation of corrective and preventive action has established that NBC Limited has put in place suitable processes and systems to produce quality and safe Eva Premium Table Water that is fit for human consumption.

Eva Premium Table Water produced by Nigerian Bottling Company is registered by NAFDAC. The NAFDAC Registration Number is 01-0492.

The Management of NAFDAC commends the high sense of responsibility exhibited by officials of Nigerian Bottling Company Limited, in voluntarily reporting the problem that led to the temporary suspension of production of Eva Premium Table Water 75cl at Asejire Plant, Ibadan and in the recall of the affected two lots of the product.

Consumers are advised to report adverse events related to use of regulated products to the nearest NAFDAC office, NAFDAC PRASCOR (20543 TOLL FREE from all networks) or via pharmacovigilance@nafdac.gov.ng
