The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has been informed by Canada’s Food and Drugs Act and Regulations that Pata-Foods Inc. Dba Amara, Ottawa, Canada, on 31st October, 2021, recalled its Organic Smoothie Melt Carrot Raspberry due to contamination, the product, which contain pieces of plastic has been linked to health problems such as metabolic disorders, obesity and reduced fertility.

NAFDAC implores importers, distributors, and consumers in possession of the recalled lots of Organic Smoothie Melt Carrot Raspberry to discontinue sale or use and handover remaining stock to the nearest NAFDAC office.
