The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) hereby issues this Public Notice to inform the general public, healthcare institutions, pharmaceutical importers, distributors, and all relevant stakeholders of the blacklisting of Ayrtons Saunders Ltd, UK, whose products are marketed by Mofus Nig. Ltd
NAFDAC investigations revealed regulatory violations connected with the importation, distribution, and/or supply of regulated products associated with Ayrtons Saunders Ltd, constituting a serious breach of Nigerian food and drug regulatory requirements.
The actions attributed to Ayrtons Saunders Ltd undermine NAFDAC’s mandate to safeguard public health and ensure that only safe, effective, and quality-regulated products are available within the Nigerian market.
Accordingly, NAFDAC has imposed the following regulatory actions:
1. Blacklisting of Ayrtons Saunders Ltd
The company is hereby blacklisted from engaging in any regulated product business in Nigeria until further notice.
2. Total Ban on Products
All regulated products manufactured, imported, supplied, or distributed by Ayrtons Sauders Ltd are prohibited from importation, distribution, sale, and use within Nigeria until further notice.
3. Enforcement and Legal Consequences
Any attempt to violate or circumvent these directives shall attract severe regulatory sanctions, escalated enforcement measures, and international reporting to appropriate regulatory bodies.
All NAFDAC zonal directors and state coordinators have been directed to carry out surveillance and mop up any affected or non-compliant products associated with Ayrtons Sauders Ltd within their zones and states.
NAFDAC implores distributors, suppliers, wholesalers, retailers, healthcare providers, and consumers to exercise caution and vigilance within the supply chain to avoid the distribution, sale, administration, and use of any affected products. All regulated products must be obtained from genuinely authorized and licensed suppliers, and their authenticity and physical condition should be carefully checked.
If you have any of the products mentioned above, please stop selling or using them immediately and submit your stock to the nearest NAFDAC office.
