Salihu Bello, Chemistry graduate from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (1990), has forged a distinguished career marked by steady progression. He currently serves as the Director of the Planning, Research, and Statistics (PR&S) Directorate at NAFDAC, where he has consistently demonstrated exceptional service and professionalism.
His career in NAFDAC began in Ports Inspection Directorate where, as an inspector he participated in inspections at the ports, warehouse inspection, sampling of vaccines for analyses. Then Planning, Research and Statistics Directorate.
He advanced through pivotal roles including Deputy Director i/c PRS, Head of Research and Statistics at Abuja’s Corporate Headquarters, developing unmatched expertise in strategic planning, data analysis, monitoring & evaluation, policy and leadership, strengthened by advanced trainings at the National Institute of Policy Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON), Centre for Management Development (CMD) over the years.
As Quality Manager of PRS, Mr. Bello participated in development of Quality documents for the Agency and the Directorate. He also trained staff of PRS on the standard thereby contributing to the successful ISO 9001:2015 accreditation the Agency.
He is a member of both the Institute of Chartered Chemists of Nigeria and the Chemical Society of Nigeria.
