
Mr. Dadi Nantim Mullah, fsi, is an accomplished food and drug regulator with over 30 years of progressive experience in public health regulation, food safety systems, and intergovernmental coordination. He currently serves as the Director of the North West Zonal Office of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), bringing a wealth of expertise in regulatory leadership, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning.
A result-driven development expert and peace scholar, Mr. Dadi has made significant contributions to the design, enforcement, and management of food and drug safety initiatives in Nigeria. He is a Fellow of the Security Institute (fsi) from the prestigious National Institute for Security Studies (NISS), Abuja, where he received specialized training in executive intelligence and national security management.
Mr. Dadi previously served as the Special Assistant to the Director General/CEO of NAFDAC, providing strategic technical guidance on regulatory decisions involving food, drugs, and other regulated products. He has represented the Director General at several high-level platforms both nationally and internationally, including as a speaker at the 2009 World Food Safety Day in Copenhagen.
His vast regulatory experience includes:
– Serving over 12 years as Liaison Officer to the Director of the Establishment Inspection Directorate at NAFDAC Headquarters.
– Conducting international inspection missions in India, Indonesia, South Africa, and China.
– Leading the deployment of National Food Safety Programs, including HACCP.
– Overseeing pharmacovigilance, outbreak investigations, compliance audits, and enforcement actions.
Mr. Dadi has served as NAFDAC State Coordinator in Niger, Kaduna, and Nasarawa States. During his tenure in Niger State, he was appointed Board Chairman of the Federal Government Staff Schools, Minna.
He has also contributed to major nutrition and child health programs with partners such as UNICEF and Save the Children International. He has played a leading role in the regulatory implementation of the Breast Milk Substitute (BMS) Code and has monitored the implementation of food fortification initiatives with Vitamin A and iodine in several states.
Mr. Dadi holds a B.Sc. in Food Science and Technology from the University of Agriculture, Makurdi (1992), and two Master’s degrees in Development Studies and Security Studies. He has also completed professional certifications in Leadership and Management in Health (University of Washington), Project Management, and Monitoring and Evaluation.
With a strong foundation in regulatory affairs, digital data tools, and stakeholder engagement, Mr. Dadi continues to contribute to public health safety through strategic leadership and innovation.
